Why are you sending me spam? Please remove me from your list!
Sometimes people get confused when they see headers like these in their email:
X-RBL-Warning: (204.152.184.74) See <URL:http://mail-abuse.org/ops/>
They think that we sent them the spam, and that we should remove them from our lists.
We do not send spam, and we are not sending you spam. We are very anti-spam. We do not have email lists, and we would never, under any circumstances, send you email advertising. Look around our web site -- you'll see that we dislike spam just as much as you do.
When you see something like an "X-RBL-Warning" header in your email, that means that your ISP (the people that you pay for internet access) put that there so that technically savvy folks can configure their email program to filter or delete unwanted spam.
The X-RBL-Warning doesn't mean that the spam came from mail-abuse.org. It means that mail-abuse.org (aka MAPSSM) is working together with your ISP to try to give you options on how to filter or block unwanted email advertising.
Our lists contain only IP addresses of machines that have been used to transmit spam to our users. We don't list email addresses, nor do we list domains.
If you don't understand what this means, then we recommend that you contact your ISP (the people that you pay for internet access) and ask them for assistance.
